William remarried after Ann's death because he mentions his wife in his will. It is possible she was Mary Sidebottom. The Mottram register entry reads William Hadfield and Mary Sidebottom both of this parish by publication November 15th 1730.
Burial record says he was "of Mottram".
William Hadfield of Mottram will written 18 May 1762: Wife to have all all the goods that he had with her back again plus 5 5/-; son William's daughters Mary and Betty Hadfield to have 2 2/- each; James Warhurst that married Betty Hadfield 1/-; daughter Margaret Lansdon 3 3/-; her husband Thomas Lansdon 1/-; Mary Shard widow 5/-; son James the house and land held under the Earl of Bradford plus all the rest and residue of his goods, chattels and personal estate.
