Two hedgehogs visiting the garden on 2nd October 2016.

Hedgehogs have been visiting the garden (and that of our neighbour) regularly during 2016 but we've only seen one in the daytime previously.
On 18th October, though, I happened to glance out of the back window just before 1pm and saw one.
Thinking it may be searching for food I put out a pile of mealworms next to a water bowl already there. The hedgehog had a good feed and then went off into the ivy against the garage.
I glanced out a short while afterwards and saw it walking down the garden so followed it and watched as it went under the fence into the school field beyond.
I've always been led to believe that hedgehogs are only seen in daytime if they are sickly but this one was certainly feeding and walking strongly so, hopefully, will be OK.

19th October 2016, Mk1 hedgehog feeding station installed and stocked with mealworms.
Just in time because minutes later the first customer arrived.
