Albert Salthouse was a 15 year old calico bleacher's croft plater, residing at 3, West Street, Tintwistle. He was the son of Sarah Salthouse.

Albert Salthouse was born in Pendleton, Salford in 1895, the son of John Salthouse and Sarah, formerly Moore, who married on 30 August 1874 at St Thomas's Church, Pendleton, Salford.
