1901 Census:
Henry Leech was 12 years old, and living at 4 New Road, Tintwistle.
At the 1911 Census he was 22, a cotton cloth stamper bleachworks at the same address.

Henry Leech was born in 1889, the son of James Albert Leech and Sarah Ann, formerly Butler, who married in 1885 (Registration district Hayfield).
He married Harriet Bailey in 1911 (Registration district Glossop). They lived at 10 Conduit Street, Tintwistle at the time of Henry's enlistment; thereafter at 3 Cross Street, Hollingworth.

Commemorated on the memorial at: Tintwistle.
