Clifford Kelsall was 13 years old, and still at school. He resided at 3, Arnfield Lane, Tintwistle, the son of William Kelsall, a cotton spinner.
Clifford's mother had died (possibly as a result of childbirth, since she died in the same quarter as her daughter Jane was born),

Clifford Kelsall was born in 1897 (registration district Hayfield), the son of William Kelsall and Jane, formerly Booth, who were married in 1895 (registration district Hayfield).

Commemorated on the memorial at: Tintwistle and Tintwistle United Reformed Church.
