1911 census – the family were back in Tintwistle, at 99 Old Road. James Hall was 40, calico weaver; Esther Lily was 40, married 16 years, 2 children; George was, 15, piecer for cotton spinning and Mary Hall was 9, born Rishton, Lancashire

George Hall was born in Tintwistle in 1895, the son of James Hall and Esther Lily, formerly Hayward, who were married in 1894 at Christ Church, Tintwistle.
