1911 Census:
Jonathan Bowden was a 17 year old cotton piecer, residing at 8, Manchester Road, Hollingworth. He was the son of Anthony Bowden, a retired cotton spinner

Jonathan Bowden was born in Hadfield in 1894, the son of Anthony Bowden and Mary Sophia, formerly Hodson, who were married in 1876 at The Tabernacle United Methodist Free Church, Glossop.
Jonathan's brother, Albert Bowden, born 1891, also died as a result of the Great War and his name is recorded on the Glossop War Memorial.
