Willie's mother had died, his father had remarried and moved to The Red House Hollingworth.

Willie Heath Povey was born in 1892, the son of George Povey and Catherine, formerly Heath, who were married in 1879 at St Thomas' Church, Hyde.

Commemorated on the memorial at: Hadfield and Tintwistle.
