Our Motorhomes.

Our first motorhome was an Elddis Autoquest 100 which was just over two years old when we bought it in June in 2006. We used the van extensively over the next five years or so but then, in the Autumn of 2011, were starting to consider changing it for a van with a fixed bed.

As chance (luck?) would have it, the van was written off whilst parked a week before Christmas 2011. We were having the house roof replaced so the van was parked, during the day, just down the road, where it is widest and plenty of room for it not to be an obstruction. An Asda delivery van collided with its rear end after skidding on ice on Saturday 17th December and two days later, before the insurance company could collect it, a car hit the front end after skidding on the same ice patch. There are photos of the Autoquest following the collisions Here.

Happily our insurance company treated us very well and paid out an acceptable amount within six weeks. That enabled us to be in the right place at the right time to purchase a Burstner t625 Harmony first registered in May 2003 but with low mileage for its age.
