Samuel
Joseph Ridgway of Little Hayfield was born about 1771. He and his
wife Deborah had two sons:
     Joseph
Ridgway born about 1797.
     John
Ridgway.
Samuel
died on 26 November and was buried on 30 November 1826. Described as
of Chunal in his will and late of Little Hayfield in the probate
documents.

Two.
Joseph
Ridgway was born about 1797. He lived at Clough Mills & Swallow
Houses Mill, Little Hayfield. He married Zipporah Robinson, born 23
September 1795, daughter of Joseph Robinson and Mary Bramhall (see The Robinsons of Gnat Hole) on 17 November 1816 in Glossop.
They had two children:
     Mary
Ridgway born 23 February 1817.
     Samuel
Joseph Ridgway, born 8 June and baptized in September 1819 in
Glossop, died 1847.
Joseph
Ridgway died on 3 August 1818 in Hayfield, aged 22, and was buried on
5 August 1818 in Glossop.
Zipporah
died on 15 May and was buried 19 May 1826 in Glossop.
Generation
Three.
Mary
Ridgway was born on 23 February 1817 in Glossop. She married John
Hadfield, born 2 April 1807 in Glossop, son of William Hadfield and
Mary Collier (see The Hadfield family of Cowbrook) on 14 July 1847 in Glossop Parish Church.
