Thomas
Garlick was born about 1778. He married Sarah Warhurst, born about
1777, on 3 October 1802 in Glossop Parish Church. They had eight
children:

Garlick born 22 June 1804.
     Ann
Garlick, born 12 April and baptised 29 June 1806 in Glossop Parish
Church.
     Charles
Garlick, baptised 17 March 1808 in Hadfield Wesleyan Methodist.
     Thomas
Garlick, baptised 7 July 1812 in Hadfield Wesleyan Methodist.
     Ellen
Garlick, born 19 June and baptised 31 July 1814 in Hadfield Wesleyan
Methodist.
     Edward
Garlick born 10 May 1816.
     Abel
Garlick baptised 26 December 1819 .
     Moses
Garlick baptised 2 September 1821.
Thomas
Garlick died on 31 January and was buried on 3 February 1833 in
Glossop. Described as of Chunal, aged 55, when he died.
Sarah
died aged 69 and was buried on 17 October 1846 in Glossop church
yard.

Sarah
Garlick was born on 22 June 1804 in Hadfield and baptised on 9
September 1804 in Glossop. She married Joseph Robinson, born 19 April
1802 in Whitfield, son of James Robinson and Mary Bower on 3 August
1825 in Glossop (see The Robinsons of Gnat Hole).
Edward
Garlick was born on 10 May and baptised on 18 June 1816 in Hadfield
Wesleyan Methodist. He married Sarah Hurst on 28 April 1839 in St
Michael, Ashton Under Lyne. They had 6 children:

Garlick, baptised 18 July 1841 in Glossop Parish Church.
     Hannah
Garlick born in 1844.

Garlick, born about 1849.

Abel
Garlick was baptised on 26 December 1819 in Hadfield Wesleyan
Methodist. He married Harriott Ann Heathcote (daughter of Matthew
Heathcote) on 6 November 1843 in Glossop Parish Church. They had a
daughter, Sarah Ann Garlick, baptised 12 May 1844 in Glossop Parish
Church.
Moses
Garlick was baptised on 2 September 1821 in Hadfield Wesleyan
Methodist. His wife, Hannah, was born about 1824 in Hyde, Cheshire..
They had a daughter, Sarah Garlick, whose age at the 1851 census was
given as 5 months.

married George Robinson, a bleacher of Crowden brook, born in
Hadfield in 1844 (son of George Robinson, a platelayer) on 22 April
1867 in Woodhead, Cheshire. They had six children:

Robinson, baptised 11 September 1870 in Woodhead, Cheshire, died
1872, aged 1.

Robinson, born about 1881 in Charlesworth.
Abel
Garlick was born in 1855 in Padfield. He married Alice H Kelsall,
born about 1859 in Tintwistle, in 1880. They had eleven children:

Garlick. Became a police superintendent and had three daughters. He

In
the 1881 census Abel was aged 25 living at Rhodes Cottages,
Tintwistle, a quarryman, born Glossop.
In
the 1891 census he was aged 35, living in Manchester Road,
Tintwistle, Hair dresser & Quarryman, born Glossop. Also at the
house were nephews William Kelsall (18) and John Gregory (11).
In
the 1901 census he was aged 45, Stone Quarry Man living in New Road,
Tintwistle, born Padfield.
