10 September; A bit cool this morning, and damp from yesterday's rain, but there is always something to photograph in our Beck Valley.

17 September; The last couple of times I've been out I walked down the gravel path and back through the woods. Today. attracted by the sun, I walked down the meadows and back up the path. Nice to see that the grass damaged by the vehicles only a month or so ago is already recovering.

24 September; A bit dreich this morning, but mild enough and luckily the rain held off. Several squirrels about, out of camera range, and a couple of skeins of geese which were in range.

29 September; Seeing a story in the Gazette of Mandale Meadow being described as “like a river” because of the heavy rain I decided on a short evening walk down the gravel path to the pond and back. The beck was pretty full, the pond and suds had plenty of water (what a contrast to five days ago) and there were some puddles on the paths but nowhere near as much standing water as on March 16th after the rain that weekend. Our new fence is looking good and, despite the failing light, some Autumn colour to be seen..
